What Parking Lot Mode is
Parking Lot Mode (PLM) is a LifeEdge Pro feature that generates a preparation brief for one specific appointment. You describe the prospect and the meeting, or start from a contact in your CRM, and PLM writes the plan. It is built on the idea that most agents don't need more training. They need better preparation before the appointment.
What's in the plan
Each Parking Lot Mode plan has eight sections:
- Conversation Opener: the first question to get the prospect talking.
- Discovery Questions: what to ask to understand the situation.
- Story to Use: a story suited to this prospect.
- Meeting Strategy: how to run the conversation.
- Closing Line: how to ask for the next step.
- Focus Areas: the topics most worth your time.
- Product Fit: suggested products, limited to the ones you sell.
- Objection Handles: likely objections and how to answer each.
Close Probability Score
The same screen shows a Close Probability Score: a percentage with a category label, plus the strengths, risks, tips and strategy behind it. It is built from the details you enter, such as relationship, meeting type, pain level, budget and whether the prospect is the decision maker. It is a prioritization aid, not a prediction you should rely on.
What you enter
- Client type, age, marital status, children and income range
- Goal and primary concern
- Meeting type and your relationship with the prospect
- Pain level, budget and decision-maker status
If you launch Parking Lot Mode from a contact in your LifeEdge Pro CRM, the form is prefilled from that contact, and the plan is saved to the contact's history.
Products: only the ones you sell
Every LifeEdge Pro agent selects the product lines they sell, such as term, whole life, IUL, universal life, final expense, annuities, long-term care or disability income. Parking Lot Mode's product-fit suggestions stay within that list.
What Parking Lot Mode is not
- Not a lead queue. In some systems, a "parking lot" is a holding area for inactive leads. In LifeEdge Pro it is an appointment-preparation feature.
- Not live call coaching. It prepares you before the meeting. It does not listen to calls or coach in real time.
- Not a quote or underwriting tool. It does not quote premiums, predict underwriting outcomes or replace a needs analysis.
- Not a substitute for judgment. Treat the plan and the score as suggestions to adapt, not facts about the prospect.
